A weekend camp dedicated to Drupal 7

Drupal 7 was launched in January of this year and already has huge momentum. Many major contrib projects such as Views and Organic Groups have stable versions out, and this means that Drupal 7 is a viable platform for building client sites.

For the developer community this means we have to get up to speed with what's new in 7. This weekend provides a great opportunity to do that, as all our sessions are focusing on D7. At the same time there's a Drupal Camp taking place in Edinburgh so we're billing the two as 'Britain does Drupal'. Depending on how the two camps' programmes develop we may well also share some sessions or speakers so you don't miss out.

As the Leeds Camp is focusing on D7, we thought we'd dispense with keynotes so we could get more sessions in. We're also planning an unconference in the afternoon so people can turn up with their own proposals. Also, we'll have a room where we'll build a Drupal 7 site during the weekend. The plan is that we should focus on a site for a charity or some other non-profit cause so people attending should feel free to make suggestions about what we should do.

Costs

There's a £20 attendance fee but we'll spend it all on Yorkshire delicacies and beer.
